Sol Dancer™ Daisy is the flagship introduction of Utah State University’s Sego Supreme™ plant development program. 2018 marks the fifth year since it was first made available to Intermountain West gardeners. Now it is available to gardeners from “sea to shining sea.”
Sol Dancer™ Daisy was derived from a population of Tetraneuris acaulis var. arizonica growing wild in Northern Arizona’s mountain country. The genus Tetraneuris has also been known as Hymenoxys. Sol Dancer™ Daisy was special from the very beginning because of its large flowers and sturdy stems. It took seven years of meticulous selective breeding to stabilize Sol Dancer’s superior horticultural traits of large flowers, uniform habit, extended bloom-time (May til frost), and ease of cultivation. The result is more than just your ordinary Tetraneuris.
